12.07.01: Last night I got some sleep. Eight hours worth. That is an anomaly this week, as I have been grading, writing and reading like a madman to get everything done. Remaining I have one 15-page paper, a short response paper and about twenty more pages of thesis in the next two weeks. My stack of grading has remained close to three-quarters of an inch high continuously since about two weeks ago. Every time I return graded papers, I get a whole new pile of papers to edit. My final cut-off date is next Wednesday, and then I have until the following Monday to issue grades. That is my cut-off date unless I decide to start cutting up my circulatory system before that.

USF is fucking me again. Turns out I may not be able to graduate next semester as they have cancelled a required class. Manhattanville is starting to look like a well-oiled machine compared to the bullshit I've had to put up with at a major university. Now I understand what Jay was talking about.

I updated my academic website the other day. No visual overhauls, just tightened up a bit of the code and added my schedule for next semester. But, with the addition of Spring 2002 info, I had to add a bunch of options in case anyone still needs my info for Fall 2001. All the Fall stuff will be commented out and subsequently deleted in the next few months. Should look pretty.

I was able (somehow) to get through Interlibrary Loan a copy of Doug Kellner's unpublished dissertation. I'm not quite sure how I was able to, as it is listed in Columbia University's library as a book that does not circulate. Perhaps it was an overzealous librarian. Perhaps ILLs are less restrictive. Regardless, this may be the single biggest help in the conceptual development of my thesis yet.

If I can just write this damn Hermeneutics paper.

Added a new feature to the website concerning the jailing of a bunch of peaceful anti-war protesters in Connecticut. Perhaps I should leave Amerikkka before George W. sets up the concentration camps.

That's all; I'm out.
